Two people shot at ecommerce mall in Stockholm

Two people were shot at a mall in Sweden after a man allegedly tried to rob people there.

The incident occurred at around 11:45pm local time (14:45 GMT), police said.

The man, who was wearing a grey hooded top, approached two women who were outside the shopping mall and demanded money, according to a police statement.

The woman, who is in her 30s, pulled out a gun and opened fire, the statement said.

Police said the gunman then fled the scene.

The mall is in a part of the city that has a high concentration of immigrants, which is common in Sweden.

The Swedish National Board of Police and Statistics said that while it is too early to confirm if there was a link between the shootings and the recent immigration crisis, the shootings may have been connected.
